Teacher Spotlight: Meet Nicole — Your Pilates Partner in Strength and Song

At Bolder Pilates, our instructors don’t just teach movement — they inspire community, growth, and a little fun along the way. This month, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Nicole, one of our passionate and insightful instructors who brings joy and strength to every class.

What’s Nicole’s advice for Pilates beginners?

Pilates is a journey, and Nicole’s got the perfect way to think about it:
“Pilates gets easier and then harder and then easier and then harder. Which is awesome because there’s always more to learn.”
She reminds us that the ups and downs are part of the process — and that every challenge is an opportunity to deepen your practice.

What’s a phrase you’ll definitely hear in Nicole’s classes?

Nicole hopes it’s her signature sign-off: “look up and be grateful.” That little mantra wraps up each session with a moment of reflection and gratitude. But if you’re lucky enough to join a class, you might also catch some playful calls like “Boobs on or off the box, your choice” or the classic Pilates timing cues like “Heels together, toes apart” and “And go for 3, 2, 1.” Nicole’s warmth and humor make each session memorable — even if some cues stick in your head forever!

What does Nicole love most about teaching at Bolder Pilates?

“We truly have the best community, clients, co-workers and studio space here,” Nicole shares. She finds immense joy in watching clients grow stronger, more flexible, and more connected to their bodies. For Nicole, Pilates isn’t just exercise — it’s a lifestyle that enriches all parts of life, and being part of that journey with her clients is the ultimate reward.

A fun fact you might not know about Nicole

When she’s not leading Pilates classes, Nicole loves to sing! Whether it’s belting out tunes in the car, cooking up gourmet meals while humming along, or lending her voice in a choir, music is a big part of her life and joy.

If Nicole were stranded on a deserted island — Pilates edition

Nicole is quick with a clever answer here:
“I’m going to cheat and say the chair. It’s so versatile and compact compared to a reformer or the trapeze table. But honestly, if I’m on a deserted island, I’m probably going to figure out how to build as many of the apparatuses as possible.”
We love her resourcefulness and Pilates dedication — survival and strength go hand in hand!

We’re so lucky to have Nicole as part of our Bolder Pilates family. Want to experience her energy, guidance, and signature cues for yourself? Check out our class schedule and book a session with Nicole today!
